Dr. Jessica Wu is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Los Angeles, California. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center.
In addition to her thriving private practice, Dr. Wu is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at USC, where she teaches medical students and dermatology residents in the dermatologic surgery clinic. She lectures frequently at national medical conferences and seminars across the country, and is a consultant for several of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Wu is also involved in clinical research trials on new injectable and topical anti-aging treatments, and has been a Principal Investigator in several studies of cosmetic products and devices that have resulted in FDA approval.
Dr. Wu prefers skin care products containing natural ingredients such as Asian botanical extracts from her own heritage as well as a few of her favorites – Feverfew, Oats and Green Tea. Dr. Wu strongly believes that recent interest in natural ingredients is a renaissance, not a revolution, and has come to trust beauty brands that continue to advance the science behind natural ingredients.
Looked to as a medical expert, Dr. Wu has appeared on Good Morning America, Fox News, Entertainment Tonight, EXTRA, Access Hollywood, as well as other local and national news, entertainment shows and television shows in France and Germany. She regularly appears on health and beauty segments on the KTLA morning news in Los Angeles and is a featured dermatologist on TLC's series Ten Years Younger, now in its 4th season. Dr. Wu has been interviewed on National Public Radio, and has been featured in numerous print publications, including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, People and Newsweek. In addition, Dr. Wu is the Skin and Beauty expert for EverydayHealth.com, where she contributes regularly to a daily Skin & Beauty newsletter and blogs about skincare products.
Dr. Wu is co-founder of a nonprofit organization, BeautyShares Inc. that is dedicated to building confidence and self-esteem in disadvantaged young women through after-school workshops on grooming, skincare, and healthy lifestyles.
