Given the AVEENO® brand's use of natural ingredients and our commitment to always providing the best quality products, it’s no wonder we care so much about how our products impact the Earth. Our dedication to this global effort has continued for over 60 years, but there is still so much more to be done.

All AVEENO® High-Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) bottles and paper packaging are recyclable, and, where possible, we use a percentage of Post-Consumer Recycled Material (or PCR) when creating our products and in-store materials. When you purchase and recycle our products, you complete the circle. Together we can lessen the impact packaging has on our planet.

Making a more beautiful future
As part of the Johnson & Johnson family, we share company-wide initiatives and clear-cut goals for reducing our carbon footprint. We even have dedicated teams working full-time to make sure these goals become a reality. Here are some of the steps we're taking:
Clean Energy
Johnson & Johnson is the second largest corporate user of on-site solar power. In 2007, Johnson & Johnson cut the ribbon on its ninth and largest solar facility in Vacaville, California. More than 5,700 ground-mounted solar panels span six and a half acres. With the sun shining, the solar field provides up to a third of the electrical power needed to run the site. You can expect to see more of these facilities in the future.
Research
Johnson & Johnson has won the Environmental Protection Agency Green Power Partnership Award for six years. From producing better boxes and bottles to generating solar energy and working in buildings powered with clean energy, our company is always looking for more ways to reduce our environmental impact.
