How to Use

When I was rinsing it off I noticed it was leaving a waxy feeling film so I had to scrub my face to get the waxy feeling off. Even after washing with a scrub and mositurizing, my skin still feels waxy. It looks very soft but this is just not what I expect my skin to feel like after doing a face mask.

  Rated 1 out of 5 by kgkggk_ from was good at first i received this mask as a little sample for a gift and went ahead to try it (though i had my doubts about ingredients). the application was smooth and it didn’t burn my skin or anything (for reference, i have normal to combo skin and only experience breakouts on my chin), and washing it off was easy. the day after, however, i noticed i had a rash across my entire face where i applied the mask. it’s been almost a week since i’ve used it and the rash has not gone away. i wish i hadn’t used it and trusted my gut when it came to the ingredients and my doubts

The mask smells nice, it’s not that messy. My skin felt amazing afterward. It also doesn’t fully dry when wearing it which makes removal much easier and softer to do.

(for reference I don't have sensitive skin and my skin is usually dry)

  Rated 2 out of 5 by BrandyE76 from Minute by Minute Review Other than the baby lotion I use on my niece from time to time, this is the first Aveeno product I have used for myself. I received the oat mask as a gift (not from Aveeno). I have washed my face using my usual cleanser from another brand and then used an exfoliating scrub. I have sensitive skin so I haven’t used anything harsh. I’ve applied the mask on damp skin as the directions indicated and it felt cool and hydrating on the skin. Really glides across the skin with zero tugging. I’m about three minutes in and I am noticing a bit of tingling around my nose and on my brow bone. It is nothing too severe or uncomfortable, but it is noticeable. There is no burning or tingling on my cheeks, chin or upper forehead. Eight minutes in and I can feel some areas on my face tightening where the mask is beginning to dry. Product information states that the mask will not necessarily dry completely. I’m finding this description to be spot on. Rinsing with warm water at 10 minutes which is the maximum recommended wear time. My face began to burn as soon as the water hit my face. I’ve quickly removed the mask and patted my face gently dry. I’m noticing my slight redness primarily in my T-zone where some mild tingling continues. I’m not noticing that my face is any softer compared to other times when I have only exfoliated. As of right now, I do not notice any breakouts, just continued tingling 5 minutes after rinsing off the product. I will try this again when I haven’t exfoliated to see if the combo of exfoliating and then using this mask contributes to the minor irritation. I will say that when I have used other masks in conjunction with my exfoliating routine, there is no tingling. I LOVE the light scent of the mask (which could be the cause of the irritation). I’d love to have that in a body lotion. If you have super sensitive skin, you may want to pass. Otherwise, it was a nice mask with clean rinsing ( meaning you don’t have to spend an hour scraping it off).
