She has always used it since she was a baby and has had very rarely had dry skin (and we live in NV). It is barely scented, which is great for those with scent-sitivities :). I use it before bedtime and my baby is always ready for bed, so I’d say it does have quite a calming effect. It even works during the day before nap time!
